In the presence of His Excellency the Vice Rector of the University, Prof. Hamad bin Nasser Al-Turaiki, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University conducted a specialized workshop on Wednesday, 16/08/1447 AH, to study the phenomenon of unregulated taxi vehicles. The workshop was held at the University City campus in Al-Kharj Governorate, with the participation of representatives from a number of governmental administrative and security entities.
The workshop aimed to highlight the main factors driving the practice of unregulated transportation activities, whether economic, regulatory, or personal, as well as to examine the impact of these factors on the continuity of such activities. It also discussed possible solutions to limit the phenomenon and address its repercussions on society.
The workshop included three main themes: the first focused on examining the current status of the phenomenon; the second featured a dialogue session to discuss available solutions and enablers among the participating entities, explore opportunities for integration and joint coordination at the governorate level, and identify the key challenges associated with the phenomenon and mechanisms for addressing them. The third theme focused on formulating proposed solutions and final recommendations.
